Wonderwall
The Strathclyde University mural, known as the "Wonderwall" is a monumental tribute to the institutions rich history and the achievements of its community. Spanning nearly 200 metres and encompassing three seven story gables, this mural was brought to life by Art Pistol alongside artists Rogue One and Ejek. Prominently featured in the mural are significant elements such as the Dansken equatorial telescope, once pivotal in teaching nautical astronomy, and the Land Ship, a navigation bridge mock up used for compass adjustment training. These historical references highlight the universities long standing contributions to science and education. The mural is strategically located on George Street, inviting both locals and visitors to explore Glasgow's educational and cultural heritage.
